H&Y REVORING Swift | Advanced Filmmaking Set

H&Y REVORING Swift Advanced Filmmaking Set is designed for filmmakers who will work in environments of different lighting and exposure. A VND filter made of German Schott B270 Glass is included, so as a black mist 1/4 filter. It offers high flexibility in that the matte box can be clipped on swiftly at any time. It is a light and handy setup for both run-and-gun shooters and serious filmmakers who may finish the setup real quick.

 

Magnetic Variable Neutral Density (VND) Filter

The Swift Magnetic Variable ND filter was developed for filmmakers to control depth of field and exposure with ease. The VND is designed with an end-stop to avoid the accidental appearance of cross-polarization when rolling. 2 grading ranges are available. Again, Simply Clip the VND onto the REVORING base to use it on lenses with different filter sizes.

Magnetic Mini Matte Box

The Swift Mini Matte box is featherlight and weighs only 139g / 0.3lbs. It can be easily balanced on gimbals and drones. It helps to shield the top, block stray light and minimize lens flare. The Matte Box is independent of the Drop in Filters or the VND so that you can mount the Matte Box, only when it is needed. Simply Clip the Matte Box onto the VND / Drop in Filters and you are good to shoot.

Saving Space

Bringing alone the Revoring with polariser and VND, you are then allowed to shortlist your travel gear to just ONE filter. No more trouble was caused by storing the loose rings.

Switching filters from one lens to another could be time-consuming. Our ring will simply ease the pain by untwisting and twisting.

Glass & Coating

The German Schott B270® glass is used in making the Polariser and VND filter. It includes Anti-Reflective coatings, which virtually eliminate all flare and reflections from the front and rear surfaces. This helps visible light to pass through the glass by removing unwanted reflections, giving the user the best possible light transmission (up to 97%), and optimizing images for the sharpest possible outcome. Whether shooting at 16mm or 400mm, the glass and coatings used in our system produce sharp images, even at light reductions of up 10 stops.

 

Vignetting Test

The widest focal length we support would be 14mm when one thin adapter + drop-in filter holder is used, 16mm when REVORING Swift Magnetic Variable Adapter + drop-in filter holder is used.

The vignetting test is done with the lens Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4.0. The compatibility will vary due to different lens designs. It is known that Sony lenses will have lower compatibility with vignetting. 16mm is the widest focal length that Sony lenses can be used with a thin adapter and drop-in filter holder without vignetting.

 

Magnetic Screw-in Adapters

If you own an ultra-wide angle lens, like 14mm-18mm, H&Y has an alternative for you to use the magnetic system without painful vignetting. The Swift Magnetic Screw-in adapters have a selection of lens thread choices: 62, 67, 72, 77, 82, 86 and 95mm. We also cater to the need for some special lenses that were built without lens threads:

• Laowa 12mm f/2.8
• Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Shift
• Sony 14mm f/1.8
• Canon 17mm f/4L
• Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8S
• Olympus 7-14mm f/2.8
• Fujifilm 8-16mm f/2.8R

The adapter for the special lens will connect to (C)accessaries - square filter holder, hood, and matte box directly. No bridge components will be needed. Unfortunately, drop-in filters cannot be used in this case yet we promise we are figuring out a solution for it.
